Future prospects for finance

The next IoD lunch talk will focus on the current performance and future prospects of the Island’s finance industry.

The CEO of Jersey Finance, Geoff Cook, will be the guest speaker at the Grand Jersey on Tuesday 8 April. He will look at how the industry is performing and what initiatives are currently being undertaken to promote it in key overseas markets.

The Chairman of the Jersey IoD Events committee, Steven Hunt, said he was delighted to welcome Mr Cook as the guest speaker for April..

Since joining Jersey Finance in January 2007, Mr Cook has visited many of the world's leading finance centres on a regular basis in order to promote Jersey’s finance industry and update government officials, regulators, finance professionals and international investors on legal and regulatory developments and service innovations offered by Jersey. He is a regular speaker and contributor to conferences and seminars around the world and writes frequently in leading magazines.

His talk will also highlight some of the opportunities the industry could seek to embrace in the months ahead, and discuss the importance of maintaining a successful finance industry as Jersey returns to growth.
