Liquid first for Channel Islands at UK PR awards

Thursday 27 November 2014

Channel Islands’ communications consultancy Liquid has been named Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards.

The firm, which has offices in Guernsey, Jersey and Birmingham and consultants in London, won the gold award in the South of England and Channel Islands’ region, ahead of five other shortlisted consultancies and took silver in the Midlands. It also won gold in the issues or crisis management category in the Midlands region.

Liquid PR director Katrina Bray said; "2014 is Liquid’s tenth anniversary and to receive independent recognition and endorsement from our peers is both a great honour and humbling. We started the year being named consultancy of the year at the Public Relations Consultants Association DARE Awards in the Midlands and retaining our Top 40 outside London ranking by the authoritative PRWeek annual league table. We’re finishing 2014 with two golds and a silver in the PRide Awards and an exciting move for our UK team into Birmingham city centre which will be significant in our commitment to continuing to build our regional and national client base."

Pam Lloyd Chairman of Chartered Institute of Public Relations South West, said: "Winners of the first ever South of England & Channel Islands CIPR PRide Awards should be very proud of themselves their teams and their work. It took a lot of belief to enter this year, to compete for a PRide award which represents the highest standards in public relations and now extends right across the south of the country and beyond."
