New MD at Grant Thornton

Adam Budworth has been appointed as Managing Director of Grant Thornton Limited.

He replaces Dave Clark who, having been MD for 15 years, is stepping aside to concentrate on the local business practice of the firm in Guernsey and Jersey.

The firm has enjoyed significant growth during the past few years and to help support Adam, Cyril Swale takes up the new role as Head of Office in Guernsey. 

Mr Clark said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as MD and it has been extremely satisfying to see the people develop and the firm grow at the rate it has. I am passing the reins to capable hands and look forward to focusing on my new role."

Speaking of his appointment, Mr Budworth said: "I am delighted to be appointed as MD of Grant Thornton and I am very excited about the challenge ahead.

"The firm has enjoyed impressive growth in the last seven years and the main task is to continue this trend, delivering a distinctive client service and continuing to grow our people. I take over with the firm in good shape and I look forward to building on the success enjoyed in the past."

Mr Swale added: "Dave is certainly a hard act to follow, but with our people and our clients as key focuses for the business I am excited to be working with Adam and develop our role in the community with a great deal of enthusiasm."
