AFM has donated a lawnmower to GROW Limited, the facilities management company’s charitable partner for 2017.

The brand new lawnmower, worth £600, will be used on the charity’s site in St Sampson’s and also for its community based gardening services.

‘As our chosen charity of the year, GROW is very close to our hearts at AFM. They do an incredible job for a number of people with learning disabilities and as well as growing and selling bedding plants they do offer a commercial service tending to gardens at commercial properties and private homes,’ said Karen Girdlestone, AFM’s commercial manager.

‘AFM is thoroughly enjoying working with GROW, helping with fundraising and using our staff’s professionalism, experience and manpower to provide practical support where we can.’

GROW’s manager Eddie Higgins added: ‘We are extremely grateful to AFM for their support and the donation of this lawnmower is fantastic. We are looking forward to continuing to work with them throughout the year and feel very lucky to have been chosen as their charitable partner for 2017.’
