Businesses are being requested to go quackers once again, by purchasing their own big yellow duck to enter into this year’s Harbour Carnival Corporate Duck Race.

Taking place on Friday 11 August and sponsored for the 10th year by RBC Wealth Management, this year’s event has The HUB as its main beneficiary. Their Sunflower Project will receive 50% of the funds raised, to support young people experiencing a loss or serious illness in their family, as well as providing guidance for parents. The other 50% will be divided up across a range of local good causes throughout the year.

Dustyn Molver from organisers, the Round Table, said: ‘Harbour Carnival is traditionally opened each year by the start of the Corporate Duck Race. For just £200, a business can enter its very own branded duck into the race. . It’s a great event for companies to show their support for local good causes and I hope as many as possible will get onboard.’

RBC Wealth Management’s Lisa Barnett from their Guernsey Leadership Team said: ‘We’re delighted to be celebrating 10 years of sponsoring what has become an integral part of Guernsey’s calendar of events. We are always grateful to the business community for their support and we’ll be interested to see who’ll be ducking and diving against the RBC Corporate Duck this year!’
