Culture & Heritage will be marking Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Birthday with two special outdoor concerts at Vale Castle on 17th and 18th June.

Following the success of the Killer Queen Concerts at Castle Cornet which celebrated HM Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday last year, Culture & Heritage are once again giving locals and visitors the chance to enjoy an outdoor concert, but this time in the historical site of Vale Castle.

Nikki Symons, Head of Marketing & Events said, “Vale Castle is a historical site that naturally lends itself to being a stunning place to host a concert and we wanted to create an experience to be remembered with an opportunity to enjoy some great music from a world class band playing outdoors on a summers evening”.

“World number one Abba band ‘Bjorn Again’ will be performing the hits of Abba and we encourage concert goers to get into the spirit of the 70s and 80s and come in fancy dress to sing and dance along to Abba’s greatest hits” she said.

Families are welcome and Sunday night features an earlier show time of 7.30pm – 9pm so that children can join in the fun.

Tickets are available from guernseytickets.gg and from the Box Offices at Beau Sejour, Guernsey Museums at Candie, the Princess Royal for the Performing Arts and the Guernsey Information Centre.

Culture & Heritage also plan to celebrate Her Majesty’s Birthday with a 21 gun salute at Castle Cornet at noon on Saturday 17th June. During the day the Historic sites of Castle Cornet (10am - 5pm), Fort Grey (10am - 4.30pm), Guernsey Museum at Candie (10am - 5pm) and for the first time the newly opened German Naval Signals HQ in St Jacques, St Peter Port (12.30pm - 4.30pm) will all be open for free for everyone to enjoy.
