Guernsey’s luxury mobile bar service, Apéritif, has seen double-digit percentage growth for a third year running since its inception. Founded in 2013 by local entrepreneur, James Le Gallez, the rapid growth of the business has required an expansion to a new premises and has also acquired another local business in the process.

Apéritif has now acquired Haut Maison a well established and respected producer of exclusive liqueurs. The drinks maker has built up a fine reputation by carefully concentrating on one product at a time, building up a small range of fruit liqueurs and flavoured vodkas over the last four years, which are well-stocked in local stores, bars and restaurants. Each of the finished products can take up to six months to make as no heat, flavourings or additives are used in the manufacture and as a result only a few hundred bottles are produced at a time.

Haut Maison's focus will now be on increasing product availability and brand exposure, whilst carefully expanding the range based on consumer demand, starting with the launch of a new flavour, Summer Fruit Cup, in early June. "I am so very excited to be taking on such an iconic local brand which will dovetail perfectly with Apéritif's offering,” added Le Gallez. Apéritif itself, as well as Haut Maison’s production, will be moved to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility on Guernsey’s west coast.

Guernsey is well known for exquisite local produce, and so Haut Maison will continue to be made with local ingredients.

Apéritif will continue to provide private and corporate catering for all manner of events in Guernsey, while focusing on further acquisitions and expansions within the local food and drink industry and expanding the company’s reach beyond Guernsey’s shores. The demand for high-end drink catering is alive and kicking on the island – from luxury private parties, to arts and literature events, to corporate get-togethers and balls.

"Our new premises will help facilitate the company's ambitious growth plans over the next five years and ensure we can continue to provide an exemplary level of service," Le Gallez explained.
