Startup Guernsey has launched a new look website which it hopes will serve as an improved useful resource for setting up and growing new businesses in Guernsey.

The new site includes increased access to a range of local service providers via its new online Business Directory. In addition, there are now specific articles and information for both starting and growing a business. These include “10 steps to starting your business” and “10 steps to growing your business”.

Other features of the site include case study videos of local startups, as well as a comprehensive news and events section. The website also features blogs from third party service partners on topics such as managing social media as well as strategic marketing and PR.

The resources section of the site includes articles such as the top ten legal documents for startups, accountancy tips, as well as information on incorporating a business in Guernsey.

Startup Guernsey will be running a series of events throughout 2017 at the Digital Greenhouse. The next event takes place on 10th March and will explore how to use Google and social media to grow your business. The seminar is organised by businesshelp.gg and is supported by Startup Guernsey. Speakers include Will Levitt and Andrew Bruce from Google, Bradley Bishop from Click Return and Alan Chapman from businesshelp.gg and Action Coach.

Startup Guernsey will also host a “Meet the Communications Experts” workshop on 4th April with Katrina Bray from Liquid. Katrina brings together years of experience as both a journalist and a PR practitioner to give insight and advice on how to identify what makes a good story and then how to communicate it. She will cut through the jargon to provide clear and practical advice which will enable attendees to look at their own business and identify how they can improve the way they talk to their target audiences.

In addition, the organisation operates a free and impartial business advice service using the skills and experience of a range of Guernsey business professionals who want to help startup and existing businesses.
