A gathering of 764 dogs wearing bandanas is not only a great thing to see – it has also set a new world record.
The Australian Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (RSPCA) more than doubled the previous record at annual fundraiser the Million Paws Walk.
Chris Sheedy, of Guinness World Records, said: “The Canadians had 364, less than 12 months ago. So they haven’t held it for very long. Might be a few unhappy faces there, but a lot of happy faces here today.”
More than a thousand people turned out for the 5km (three mile) walk in Canberra, Australia, and many others took part in similar events around the country.
