Golf legend's son appears in Court

Wednesday 12 April 2017

The son of golf superstar Ian Woosnam has been charged with criminally breaking into and entering the former Channel Television studios.

32-year-old Daniel Ian Woosnam, who resides in La Pouquelaye, St Helier, appeared in the Magistrates Court this morning.

The former Ryder Cup-winning captain's son allegedly entered the premises with the intent to commit a crime between 15:30 on 6 November and 07:45 on 7 November last year.

Welsh professional golfer and former World Number 1 Ian Woosnam (59) did not appear in Court.

Magistrate Peter Harris ordered Daniel Woosnam to return before the Court in two weeks' time and avoid the former Channel TV studios, which were vacated by the ITV Channel team in 2015, in the interim.
