The new service includes all of the production services associated with a TV studio, combined with videoconference technology, enabling a presenter not on Island, to be incorporated into the studio, virtually.
Steve Plevin, General Manager at Joys said: “Guernsey is extremely well positioned to host industry events, especially in the finance sector where we have many leading companies based on Island. Our Virtual Event Studio, supported by our talented production team, provides a fantastic facility to help our clients innovate with virtual events. The studio has been designed with audience interaction in mind and, where needed, can utilise ‘green screen technology’ to create very impressive stage settings. Most importantly, events can either be pre-recorded by Joys, or streamed in real-time to a global audience, resulting in a much wider reach than a conventional event would have achieved.”
Ian Allsopp, Production Manager at Joys said: “We have mentioned the Virtual Event Studio to a few clients and already have events booked. Most surprising is how fast word of mouth travels. Yesterday we were approached by a UK national charity who want us to look after their glittering awards ceremony later in the year. Certainly an event that In the current climate, would have been postponed without our ‘Virtual Event Studio’. Now, this well respected evening is firmly back on the calendar, albeit in a ‘virtual” form’ but we will still be creating graphics, videos and special effects to give the event it’s usual dynamism.”
