A global yachting technology company will expand its team in Guernsey after launching a new payroll solution for crew.
Voly announced its new integrated crew payroll module, which follows its acquisition of Channel Islands maritime payroll company Voyonic, in 2024.
The new module will combine “payroll, contract management and leave planning into a single digital system designed specifically for the super yacht industry”, a spokesperson said.
Voly Founder and CEO Ian Flanagan said the company set out to “modernise one of the most complex administrative functions in the industry”.
“This industry has long relied on spreadsheets and fragmented systems,” he said.

“By bringing together operational expertise and modern technology, we’re creating a platform that simplifies payroll and crew management for yacht owners, captains and crew.”
Voly said the launch marked the start of its “next phase of development” as it continued to expand – with Guernsey expected to play “an increasingly important role in that growth”.
The company said the Guernsey team would “play a key role in supporting the rollout of the new platform”, with plans to grow the team as demand increases.

The payroll module forms part of the wider Voly Crew platform, which integrates “crew onboarding, contracts, hours-of-rest compliance and leave planning into one system”.
Sean Reid, Captain of 65metre luxury super yacht M/Y Triumph, said: “Anything that reduces administrative complexity and improves accuracy is hugely valuable.
“Voly has been pushing the industry forward for years.”
