Immersiv is a certified partner for Matterport, a virtual tour technology platform which has undertaken over 1,000 projects to scan residential properties and other physical spaces both in the islands and internationally.

“Both vendors and buyers increasingly prefer for initial property viewings to be undertaken virtually, particularly in the current covid environment, with interested parties then progressing to physical viewings as a second step,” Chris Guillochon, Technical Director at Immersiv, said.

“Our technology allows vendors to explore these spaces on any device as if they were there in person. This is safer and more convenient for all parties and limits the pre- and post-visit sanitisation that needs to be carried out by vendors.

“It also allows buyers to re-visit those spaces virtually after physical viewings to check various aspects that may have become unclear.”

However, from this week, islanders are able to visit properties physically after lockdown was eased into ‘Level Three’, provided they observe key Public Health measures such as physical distancing.

Jack Goguelin, Director at mortgage broker Enness’s Jersey office, welcomed the move.

“Whilst we’ve continued to see some movement in the upper end of the local and international property market over recent weeks, the relaxation of these rules is clearly welcome news to investors, those looking to purchase a new property and those looking at their re-mortgage options,” he commented.
