Audit, assurance, tax and consulting services provider PwC has welcomed 62 new recruits to its trainee programme in Jersey and Guernsey.

During the programme, the trainees will work across all parts of the business, learning “critical technical skills” to set them up for future careers.

PwC was rated as the top graduate employer in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey.

It offers traditional accounting, advisory and tax traineeships, as well as its new Digital Degree Apprenticeship in association with University of Exeter and the Flying Start programme in collaboration with the University of Plymouth, accessed via University College Jersey.

PwC CI Partner, Chris van den Berg, gave a “very warm welcome” to this year’s trainees.

“Our offices are brimming with their energy and enthusiasm, and I’m delighted to witness them already seizing every learning opportunity to grow their skills and experience here with us in the Channel Islands,” he said.

“As a professional services firm, people are at the heart of our business, and we take great pride in welcoming such a diverse group of new trainees onto our programme.”

Mr van den Berg added: “We firmly believe that having people from different backgrounds and with different points of view and talents working together really helps us maximise on the uniqueness of each of our people, which in turn creates the highest value for our clients.”
