The commercial waste and recycling sites at La Collette will be closed for the Easter bank holiday weekend, from Thursday 9 April and will reopen on Tuesday 14 April.

The following sites at La Collette will be closed for commercial customers operating under industries such as construction, gardening and house clearing:

  • Aggregates recycling (AAL Recycling Ltd)
  • Inert waste reception
  • Composting reception
  • Bulky Waste Facility
  • Waste Metals Recycling Facility (EMR Ltd)

The Household Reuse and Recycling Centre, Household Green Waste, Recycling Bring Banks and Asbestos reception still remain closed to the public until further notice.

Recycling Manager Emma Richardson-Calladine said: “The department has taken the decision to close over the entire weekend due to the recent reduction in customer numbers using the facility. Customer demand has reduced significantly following the Government’s Stay at Home measures as work across industries who frequently use the facility has slowed.”

Commercial customers will be able to access the sites from Tuesday 9 April during normal opening hours of Monday – Friday 7.30am- 4.15pm and Saturday 07.30-12pm.
