BabyHub's bedside crib gets design accolade

Jersey-based business, BabyHub, has been awarded the DNA Paris Design Award 2019 for their latest product, the BabyHub NeoSpace bedside crib, which is due to be launched early this summer.

BabyHub NeoSpace bedside crib has a patented fold-down padded side, which gives parent the opportunity to sit next to their baby, without any gap between them.

It is plastic-free and made from Rainforest Alliance certified and FSC accredited New Zealand pine. It has a luxury mattress made from natural latex and coir.

Both the design, made for safety, and the use of natural, renewable materials, helped the BabyHub crib make it into the top three of winners in the Product – Design for People – category.

The DNA Paris Design Awards honours the work of architects and designers, who improve "our daily lives through practical, beautiful and innovative design."

BabyHub was the first business in Jersey to receive a loan from the Jersey Innovation Fund, which it has since repaid in full with interest.

The company's first product was SleepSpace - a multiple award-winning travel cot which is reusable as a play tepee - which is on sale in Mothercare, Boots, Argos and other retailers both in the UK and internationally.
