BDO Greenlight launches new graduate consultant training programme

Tuesday 14 November 2017

BDO Greenlight is launching a new training programme for a graduate to become a change management consultant.

The 18-month paid role gives a graduate the opportunity to benefit from on-the job training.

Allam Zia, Director, BDO Greenlight (pictured left with Eliott Lincoln), said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to join one of Jersey’s most highly-regarded professional services firms and start their career as part of a global network. The programme offers the graduate the chance to train and work alongside some of the Island’s top consultants, plus gain exposure to the many different areas of BDO’s Advisory services.

“We would like to find someone who is willing to learn from the on-job training, gain project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 and continual improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, and quickly develop into a consultant, working with us on change and continual improvement projects across industries."

Adam Vibert joined BDO Greenlight as a graduate nearly two and a half years ago following a placement with the firm while studying at Highlands for a BA in Business & Management. He is now a fully-fledged consultant and has already worked in project management and business analyst roles for clients across Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, and Financial Services.

Mr Vibert said: “It’s hard to think of any other business career that offers the variety of experience and exposure to different industries you get as a consultant. Joining BDO Greenlight was a great start to my career, taking me though industry qualifications as I shadowed more experienced team members and began managing teams for my own projects.

“The move from full time study to full time work can be quite daunting, but the structure this programme offers, with the mixture of qualifications, shadowing, and training, makes it very accessible for a graduate and will help them make the transition.”

Eliot Lincoln, Managing Director, BDO Greenlight, said: “A good education is one of the most important things Jersey can offer its leaders of the future, it’s then down to businesses to skill the younger generation to help them enter the workforce. Change management is a growth-industry and we hope our new graduate programme will offer an exciting, and stimulating career path, in one of the most future-proof areas of business today.”
