Bedell Cristin has won Best Digital Marketing Campaign at Citywealth’s Brand Management and Reputation Awards, for its Valentine’s-themed GDPR email requesting recipients to ‘opt-in’ to the firm’s updates.

The Citywealth Brand Management Awards highlight the top brands emerging in a consolidating financial industry.

For the Brand Management and Reputation Awards, the independent panel of industry judges looked at how the campaigns showcased creative use of digital media to achieve specific objectives.

Bedell Cristin was one of 10 shortlisted firms in the category.

“We are delighted to have won Best Digital Marketing for our GDPR campaign,” said Bedell Cristin managing partner David Cadin. “It’s wonderful to be recognised for the quality and creativity of the marketing team’s work."

Bedell Cristin was not the only local company to win at the awards. Lisa Mclauchlan, Group BD Director at Estera, won the Gold award in the BD and Marketing Director of the Year category.

The Estera marketing team took home the silver in the Overall Marketing Campaign of the Year category.

My team and I work closely alongside fee earner teams to develop and implement targeted BD and marketing strategies that have translated into significant revenue growth. I am delighted that these awards have recognised the hard work and commitment of our marketing and BD professionals.”

Farah Ballands, Group Chief Executive Officer added “Lisa tirelessly promotes a professional BD culture throughout the organisation. She has made a huge impact at Estera: not only have growth rates been impressive but the pipeline is positive so that success is forecast to continue throughout 2019 and beyond.

Digital Jersey was named best digital brand and awarded for its public relations strategy at the event.

Digital Jersey’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Kelly Barker, was at the ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House to receive the awards.

She said: “The work of my team is very much a ‘behind the scenes’ one focused on championing the work of Digital Jersey, our members, and the island’s wider tech sector. To be recognised and to win, in categories that included world-renowned businesses, is such an honour.”

Digital Jersey CEO, Tony Moretta, added: “Since the relaunch last year I’ve been really proud of our new brand identity and website and so it’s really great to have this recognised externally. I’d like to thank Kelly and her team for their efforts, day in day out, and I know they’re already back hard at work delivering our ambitious plans for 2019.”

“They include work to promote our Sandbox Jersey testbed internationally and the soon-to-be-opened Digital Jersey Academy which will help us train and retrain a whole new generation of digitally skilled people who can continue to help the island’s economy grow and thrive.”
