Blue Islands has partnered with a number of European tour operators, which will see it provide charter services from Zurich, Rotterdam, Groningen and cities across Germany in 2020.

Visitors from Zurich and Rotterdam will be arriving every weekend over a 20-week period.

The charter service between Groningen and Guernsey has been extended to 17 weeks, with flights every Sunday between 26 April and 16 August.

Walter Fink, Director of Rolf Meier Reisen, added: “We have operated to the Channel Islands since 1987 and now in our 12th year of activity with Blue Islands, chosen for its flexible and bespoke service to meet our requirements and deliver an excellent experience for our guests.

"Thanks to Blue Islands’ unique position as a true Channel Islands operator we are able to offer holiday products to both islands meaning even more choice for our customers using the optimal 68-seat ATR 72 aircraft.”

The news follows the recent announcement of of the partnership with Globalis, which will see visitors flying from Germany to Guernsey and Jersey between 18 April and 21 June. The programme is designed to welcome visitors to the Channel Islands in the shoulder months and the initial 10-week phase is followed by a seven-week period between 12 September and 25 October.

Mr Veron commented: “Having partnered with Globalis to provide charter flights from 22 airports across Germany to Jersey in 2019, Blue Islands is proud to have once again been selected by Globalis to operate the expanded programme for 2020. Furthermore, we are delighted to see this operation now include holidays in both Guernsey and Jersey.”
