Bohemia has been ranked at number 42 in the UK in Square Meal’s ‘Top 100 Best Restaurants 2017,' jumping ten places from last year's position.
The Michelin star restaurant is the only one in the Channel Islands to feature in the list.
The results were compiled based on votes from Square Meal’s annual survey which was conducted in the spring. The Michelin star restaurant stands in good company alongside other acclaimed restaurants in the UK such as The Fat Duck and The Waterside Inn.
Head chef Steve Smith, who has held a Michelin Star for over 15 years from the age of just 24, has created an outstanding dining experience with his ingredient and flavour driven tasting menus. He commented: “For Bohemia to be included in the list is absolutely fantastic but being ranked 10 places higher than 2016 is a major achievement! We are delighted to be recognised in this list, the whole team is extremely excited.”
On top of being the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to be listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants, Bohemia also received the highest score in the Channel Islands in the Good Food Guide with a glowing score of 7 and was listed as the best restaurant in Jersey in the guide’s ‘Top 50 Restaurants in the UK’.
Bohemia was also recently awarded the prestigious two-star award in the ‘World’s Best Wine Lists Awards 2017’, and the Award of Excellence for its outstanding wine selection in ‘Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards 2017.’
