From bursary student...to qualified solicitor

Viberts is celebrating one of its former bursary students qualifying as an English Solicitor.

Rebecca De Freitas, who qualified on 2 March 2023, started as a student with the firm in 2015, before completing her legal studies in the UK.

She achieved a 2:1 in her LLB (Hons) degree at the University of East Anglia before going on to attain a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course and in her Masters in Professional Legal Practice (LLM), with the University of Law.

Ms De Freitas is in the Corporate and Employment Law Department, where she has assisted members of the team with all aspects of corporate and employment law. She previously spent two years in the Private Client Department.

"We are really proud to see Rebecca qualify as an English Solicitor under the Viberts' English Solicitor Training programme," Zoë Blomfield, Managing Partner, said.

"It is fantastic recognition of Rebecca's ability and her hard work and takes our number of qualified lawyers to 21."
