Chief Executive to leave Jersey Business

Monday 12 May 2014

Andy Cook is to step down from Jersey Business this summer, after joining the States-funded business support organisation in September 2012 as its first Chief Executive.

Chairman, Peter Funk, said: “Andy has taken the Company from scratch and built it into a well staffed organisation providing advisory and other services to over 1,000 clients and partners in 2013. He has established excellent relations with Government and the business community. The Board of Directors, our staff and stakeholders would like to sincerely thank him for his hard work and considerable achievements.”

The Board of Jersey Business will now be working with the Appointments Commission to recruit a new Chief Executive.

Mr Funk added: “We will be looking for someone who can build on the very strong foundations which Andy has now put in place, through our own start-up phase. Jersey Business provides essential advice and support to both new and existing companies, and we will be recruiting a new Chief Executive who can take the lead in that important work, as well as continuing to develop our relationships with important partners both in Government and the business community”.
