Jersey-based law firm Collas Crill has established a representative office in Hong Kong.

The move comes part of an expansion plan that will see the Channel Islands company broaden its international portfolio, which already includes BVI, Cayman and Singapore, into Asia.

Stephen Adams (pictured, left), Managing Partner of the Singapore office, will be responsible for Hong Kong, while Simon Fraser (pictured, right) will act as a consultant.

Mr Fraser has spent over two decades as a solicitor across Britain and Hong Kong, with 14 years’ of fiduciary experience at senior level.

Mr Adams described the expansion as a chance for the firm to, “…further develop the relationships that we have already established in Singapore over the last six years.”

“A presence in Hong Kong is the next step in extending Collas Crill's international offering across Asia, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands and we are very excited to continue on this journey,” he said.

Nuno Santos-Costa, Managing Partner of Collas Crill in Jersey, added: "Hong Kong has long been a sophisticated financial jurisdiction using offshore corporate and legal services for many years. This office will help us provide a viable platform to continue developing our practice."

The news follows Collas Crill being list listed as a ‘firm to watch for 2017’ by Asian Legal Business.
