Fiduciary and administration services provider Estera is supporting a tennis program this summer teaching skills to more than 250 primary school students.
Les Mielles Tennis Club’s school outreach programme is designed to teach young children a range of tennis related ball skills. The Coach from the non-profit tennis club will provide pupils aged 4-6 from La Moye, Mont Nicolle, Les Landes and St Peter’s Primary Schools with a specialist 10-week programme designed to improve co-ordination, concentration and skill.
Faye Camp, Chair of Les Mielles Tennis Club, said: “Our mission statement, ‘tennis for all’, embodies who we are and our ambitions as a club. We strive to make tennis affordable and accessible to everyone in the community, young and old, and we couldn’t do that without the generosity of companies such as Estera.
“Tennis is a fantastic sport that is not only thoroughly enjoyable, but great for a child’s physical and mental development. Our Outreach Programme aims to introduce tennis to children at an early stage, providing a gateway to the sport and all of the wonderful benefits that come with it.”
Richard Prosser, Estera - Group Director, said: “We are delighted to sponsor Les Mielles Tennis Club Outreach Programme. We are sure this will be a highly successful initiative which gives children the opportunity to learn a new sport with their classmates and a chance to work on skills such as balance, agility and hand-eye co-ordination - all very important in terms of a child’s development."
