Events aim to highlight project management potential

Tuesday 22 March 2022

The CEO of the Association for Project Management will be in Jersey this week to discuss how projects and the profession can support skilled job creation in the wake of the pandemic.

Professor Adam Boddison will firstly visit Guernsey tomorrow alongside several senior leadership colleagues and local committee representatives, before the delegation moves over to Jersey on Thursday. Their ‘Inspiring Future Success’ event will be held at 08:30 at the Pomme D’Or Hotel.

Later in the day, between 12:00 and 13:30, those in the project profession or considering it as a career are invited to a free event focused on career development at the Digital Jersey Academy.

The aim of the events is to bring together industry, political, civil service, and education leaders to discuss raising the standard and profile of project management in the Channel Islands.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to support local APM members and meet the growing project community in the Channel Islands,” Professor Boddison said.

“Projects make change happen across all sectors, and these events will bring together project professionals to share experiences and learn more about APM, the chartered body for the project profession.”

Carl Ibbet, Chair for APM Channel Islands Chapter – APM Wessex Branch, added: “We hope to help forge and strengthen the project management community in the Channel Islands with these types of events. They offer great opportunities to anyone involved in projects in any industry to come and find out more while networking with project leaders across the islands.”

Anyone wishing to attend the breakfast event can email APM Branches Manager Robert Allen (robert.allen@apm.org.uk) or can sign up for the free career switching event here.
