EY appoints Head of Tax

Monday 27 January 2020

EY has appointed a new Associate Partner, who will take over the role of Head of Tax in Jersey.

In her new role, Áine Slater will oversee EY’s growth strategy for their Jersey tax team, while continuing to support clients with navigating local and international tax policies, including the Economic Substance requirements.

“I am delighted with this promotion," she said. "It comes at a time when our clients are going through a period of significant regulatory change due to the island’s tax policies continuing to be under international scrutiny.

"I’m excited about the opportunity my promotion presents for me to work more closely with industry and government to drive the tax agenda to secure Jersey’s prosperity for the future."

Andrew Dann, EY’s Channel Islands Managing Partner, added: “Áine’s promotion to Associate Partner is a fantastic personal achievement and a testament to her hard work and commitment throughout her career.

"It’s gratifying to have seen her join as part qualified tax consultant in 2005 and now join our CI Leadership team as an Associate Partner to take on the leadership of our Jersey tax team. I wish her every success in her new role.”
