One of the JFSC commissioners, Annamaria Koerling, has joined the Owl partnership.
Ms Koerling, who previously headed the wealth management business of C. Hoare & Co and oversaw its sale to Cazenove, has become a partner together with founders, Adam Wethered, William Drake and Andrew Wimble.
Annamaria Koerling, who was recently appointed as a Commissioner of The Jersey Financial Services Commission, said: “Joining Owl as a partner gets me back to advising top level clients which I enjoy. And Owl is different, with its unique function at the very top of the wealth advisory ladder. This will mean helping diagnose the issues that impact families and endowments, defining or re-defining their purpose of wealth and guiding its structuring and deployment. What appealed to me about the Owl approach is its total impartiality in this advisory journey, helping clients construct a network of advisers and make the right decisions, usually before investment managers are selected. I believe we can provide real added value and with no strings attached.”
Adam Wethered, Co-founder of Owl Private Office added: "Annamaria has exceptional breadth and depth of experience of the sort required to advise families and foundations at the outset of their journey into the whole area of wealth management. She will be a superb complement to our senior team of practitioners and bring to the table considerable experience of working with European families and families moving to the UK with their cross-border requirements. Owl is already a burgeoning business advising clients with immense wealth and Annamaria will lend real gravitas to our endeavours in doing what is best for families and endowments.”
