Foreshore expands online backup solutions

Monday 28 April 2014

Internet datacentre and cloud service provider Foreshore has now introduced two new service models to cater to all levels of client requirements.

The new models - tiered capacity and compressed gigabyte – are particularly useful for small- to medium-size businesses.

Foreshore’s chief technical officer Derek Fage said: “We are focused on being able to provide a service that can adapt to meet the changing needs of our customers. With an increasing number of small to medium sized businesses emerging it is important we are able to provide an affordable solution that still ensures their data is protected and secure.”

Tiered capacity is suitable for organisations looking for sufficient capacity to backup existing native data. This model allows clients to pay in advance for their storage at a fixed, predictable monthly rate, providing up to 30 daily backups or up to 30 daily backups and 11 month-end backups.

Compressed Gigabyte is designed to provide a flexible approach to storage, clients can configure custom retention profiles and are invoiced monthly based on the total storage used.

Both of these models include any required agent and plug in software at no additional cost. In addition to these models, Foreshore also offers the option of a fully managed service.
