The executive directors of Geomarine Jersey, the largest civil and geotechnical contractors in the Channel Islands, have purchased 75% of the company.
The other 25% of the company remains with Garenne.
Executive Directors Phil Horsley, Iain Barclay and Martin Curd said they wanted to strengthen their commitment to staff and clients by purchasing a controlling share.
The group said they had "been humbled by the positivity of staff and clients since announcing the transaction".
As the incumbent executive board, there are no planned sweeping changes and it is, almost, business as usual.
