KPMG has appointed risk and regulatory expert Amy Gurm as an Advisory Associate Director.

Mrs Gurm is on secondment from KPMG in Toronto.

The firm says that Mrs Gurm has a proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships. Her career has been focused on the financial services sector, specifically in banking and funds.

More than nine years of practice in advisory services has allowed Mrs Gurm to get experience in developing, employing, assessing and documenting business controls and system processes.

Robert Kirkby, Executive Director, KPMG in the Channel Islands, said: "I am delighted to welcome Amy to the Channel Islands team. Over a number of years we have worked together through our network on mutual engagements and it’s a great pleasure to provide a stimulating career option for Amy as well as introducing new ideas and skills to our local team and ultimately, of course, our clients."
