Investec appoints new Head of Real Estate Offshore

Friday 01 October 2021

Investec has appointed a new Head of Real Estate Offshore in its Corporate and Family Office Team in the Channel Islands.

Jane Niles will be overseeing a team of 15 across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

Ms Niles, who has been with Investec since 2016, was previously Head of Corporate and Family Office, Guernsey at Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited, and has worked in banking in Hong Kong and London.

Ms Niles said: "Aligning our global real estate proposition means we can use our wealth of experience to support our global family office, offshore funds and trust clients."

Mark Bladon, Head of Real Estate at Investec, commented: "Our offshore real estate business is a key part of our strategy in bringing offshore facilities to our entire real estate client base.

"Jane brings a wealth of experience providing a high touch and personalised service to clients with complex requirements and, along with her team, will be crucial in aligning the business to offer one holistic capability in the real estate space."

It comes following Investec's recent part in an international club of lenders for the redevelopment of a 1.2-acre freehold site in Camden, inside the Kings Cross Knowledge Quarter.

Speaking on the £90m debt finance deal for W.RE, Ms Niles said: "We're delighted to have worked with W.RE again, this time on its landmark scheme in Kings Cross, an area that is an increasingly important London destination.

"The team at W.RE are professional and efficient and it's always exciting to work with them to bring their projects to life. We would like to thank our club lenders in assisting in the delivery of this transaction and W.RE in choosing to work with Investec again."
