Jersey’s SRJ Technologies appoints agent for Saudi Arabian market

Jersey-based SRJ Technologies has appointed Zamil Operations and Maintenance Co Ltd (ZOMCO) as its agent for the oil and gas and pipeline market in Saudi Arabia.

SRJ Technologies provides specialised engineering services and containment management solutions, particularly weld-free couplings and repair claims for high pressure pipelines.

This new agreement between SRJ and ZOMCO will initially last three years and see ZOMCO appointed as SRJ’s agent for the Saudi Arabian market.

Founded in 1977 by the Zamil Group, ZOMCO is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading providers of operations and maintenance services.

SRJ’s Chief Executive Officer, Alexander Wood, said the agency agreement was part of SRJ’s short-term goals to expand into new territories.

“This agency agreement with ZOMCO leapfrogs us into one of the world’s largest oil and gas, and pipeline networks with a strong and well-regarded local partner,” Mr Wood said.

“ZOMCO’s appointment by Saudi Aramco as manager of its pipeline maintenance works shows the calibre of partner that we have teamed up with, and the ZOMCO team will provide us with key insights into winning new contracts in the Middle East.”

SRJ’s Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Roger Smith, said ZOMCO “will manufacture SRJ products in country and has the inhouse expertise to install and maintain those products in the field” which is “fully aligned with the SRJ business model and gives us a launchpad into a strategically important market.”
