One of the Channel Islands' largest pub chains has made two new appointments in order to continue building on its UK ambitions.
Marc McGuigan will become the new Managing Director of Liberation Group's West Country-based Butcombe Brewery on 15 July, while Andrew Cooney has already started as Director of Sales.
Mr McGuigan joins the Group after 12 years at Greene King. Most recently, he was the Business Unit Director for Greene King’s Local Managed Pubs Division – one of the company’s highest performing businesses.
Mr Cooney's most recent roles include serving as the Director of Trade Intelligence Ltd, a business consultancy, and Head of Customer Development for SHS Drinks.
The growth of the Butcombe Brewery and beer brand business is a key part of long-term strategy for Liberation Group. With the support of Caledonia, the business has invested significantly in its infrastructure for brewing, bottling and kegging.
Jonathan Lawson, CEO of the Liberation Group, said: “These two new appointments mark a new chapter in the development of Butcombe Brewery, and I am delighted to welcome both Marc and Andrew to the business. They are two talented and experienced operators who together will drive the future success of the business and deliver on the Board’s expectations.”
