Local law firm shortlisted for Family Law award

Local law firm, Corbett Le Quesne, has been shortlisted in the Family Law Firm of the Year: South category of the Family Law Awards.

The awards celebrate family lawyers across the UK who have made exceptional contributions to the industry, with Corbett Le Quesne’s nomination making them the first firm in the Channel Islands to be put forward for an award.

The shortlists were chosen by a judging panel made up of representatives of the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution, the Association of Lawyers for Children, and CILEx along with family law editors and publishing executives. 

Advocate Barbara Corbett commented: “Being from Jersey and receiving this recognition is truly exciting and something worth shouting about. We are a small team but we work very hard and are all dedicated to helping our clients resolve their family law issues, whatever they may be. We are enormously proud to be shortlisted for this award.”

Due to covid-19, Corbett le Quesne will be taking part in a virtual awards ceremony instead of travelling to London where the ceremony has been held in previous years.  

 “Taking part in a virtual awards ceremony is a novelty for us. It will be great to see how it comes together and what we can learn from it. We are excited about making a night of it here in Jersey and are interested to see how an online event like this can still bring people together and celebrate everyone’s hard work and achievements.”
