Local roofing company Advanced Roofing Services Ltd has been awarded a national prize for undertaking the 'Best Refurbishment Project' at a St. Helier doctors' surgery.
The firm won the accolade at the 2019 Single Ply Roofing Awards ceremony following its partnership with Renolit UK.
The judges complimented the achievements of the two companies in carrying out a refurbishment project at Health Plus, which involved an overlay system to an existing roof.

The extensive curved shape of the roof provided an installation challenge from a safety perspective, requiring careful consideration and planning from the Advanced Roofing team, who worked with David Syvret of Waddington Architects to deliver the project.
Mick Sumnall, General Manager of Advanced Roofing Services Ltd, which aims to provide modern and ecological roofing for waterproofing commercial and residential properties in the island, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our hard work has resulted in a national award. To compete with the very best from across the UK and win this prestigious award just highlights the high quality of workmanship and ability we have in the team here in Jersey."
Renolit is the firm's best-selling brand. Neil Sanders, Regional Sales and Specification Manager of Renolit, which is added: “The Health Plus Pharmacy, St. Helier was a very challenging refurbishment project. The shape and curvature of the roof area needing to be precisely detailed.
"Advanced Roofing Services Limited, Jersey met this challenge with both a very determined and positive approach. The detailing and workmanship of the finished roof area is of an excellent, first class standard."
