Longueville Manor has appointed financial services recruiter James Logan as its new Human Resources Manager. 

Mr Logan will manage all aspects of employee relations. His role will involve providing a comprehensive HR function, building strong relationships with both employees and the management team to support the achievement of company objectives and values.

Mr Logan will also be responsible for ensuring the welfare of all staff and overseeing training. He is joining the Relais & Châteaux property having most recently worked for RBS International, first as Lead Recruiter for the services division and then as leader of the operational and specialist processing teams.

During this time, Mr Logan was involved in a large amount of employee relations, employee engagement tasks and a high volume of recruitment management. He has a proven track record for maximising employee performance and driving services forward for customers. Mr Logan is an accredited interviewer and holds a certification in HR. He has also participated in numerous coaching, engagement and leadership courses.

In his new role at Longueville Manor, Mr Logan aims to take a fresh approach to HR in order to help develop the staff. He will look closely at each employee to identify and nourish the skills of each individual. He will also develop a comprehensive HR strategy to exceed industry best practice. Mr Logan aims to work with the States of Jersey, the Jersey Hospitality Association, Highlands College and local schools to work on recruitment and onboarding for the Island’s hospitality industry as a whole.
