LRD gains IPA status

Thursday 07 January 2016

Advertising and communications agency, LRD, has been accepted as an IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) member.

IPA membership recognises an agency as experts in their field - out of the 10,000-plus agencies operating in the UK, only 10% are IPA members, and that 10% handle more than 85% of total ad spend.

LRD managing director, Tom Robertshaw, said: "Being based in the Channel Islands it is imperative that we remain at the forefront of the communications business. Joining the IPA will enable us to draw on the expertise, knowledge and collective intelligence that the IPA membership can uniquely offer. This will not only give us a competitive edge but enable us to be part of, and contribute to larger industry debates.

"As part of the IPA's strict membership criteria and an independent audit, we had to demonstrate that we are financially stable and are committed to professionalism, best practice and the advertising codes. In the acceptance of our application, we also know that we have the support of the IPA’s 48-strong council.

"As IPA members we will also have access to a wealth of advice and information, including a full range of bespoke courses and industry qualifications. Several of our staff have undergone IPA training and we look forward to offering them more opportunities to add to their professional credentials."

Founded in 2008, LRD is a Guernsey based marketing, communications, public relations, advertising and design agency. Its clients include Genting Alderney Ltd, Aurigny, Insurance Corporation, Creasey’s, Alliance, Alderney Gambling and Jersey Electricity.
