Claire Stott has previously held various roles focused around national governing bodies (NGB) support, community sport development and school sport.
Her most recent role was Head of Lower Socio Economic Groups, where she worked with a range of partners involved in tackling the inequalities which exist in sport and physical activity participation.
Prior to Sport England, Ms Stott worked in local authority sport and community development, as well as leading a school sports partnership in South Bedfordshire.
She said she was committed to ensuring that sport is available to all at their chosen level and that she has always enjoyed working with a broad range of partners across the sector.
