Mental health charity seeking Directors and Chair

Friday 30 July 2021

A local mental health charity is recruiting new Board members from Jersey's professional sector to support it in a voluntary capacity.

Jersey Recovery College (JRC) is also recruiting for a Chair, to lead the Board of Directors.

The charity provides free education and training for people experiencing mental health difficulties and the families, friends and professionals who support them in Jersey.

"JRC's Board of Directors sets our strategy and oversees its implementation by our committed staff and volunteers,” Executive Officer, Beth Moore, explained.

“The Board is also responsible for ensuring our charity is governed correctly and is accountable for our financial performance and controls. The Chair is our figurehead.

"We're looking for Directors with a range of personal and professional experiences including HR, senior leadership, business development, clinical expertise, corporate governance, legal and fundraising to join our existing Directors. Energy and interest are key. For the Chair role, we would love someone with strong leadership and innovation. We welcome those with lived experience of mental health difficulties."

"We're looking for new Board members who can bring additional skills, ideas and energy to our team as we continue to adapt to meet the challenges we face as an organisation and as a community."
