Prior to this, he spent 15 years as the Finance Director and Company Secretary of Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water.

He is currently the Chair of Water UK and a trustee of the Water Companies Pension Scheme.

“This is a crucial time to be joining Jersey Water’s Board of Directors," Mr Ferrar said. "The Company is playing a vital role in the covid-19 pandemic, keeping the water flowing and supporting any customers who find themselves in financial difficulty.

“The company has big ambitions to tackle head on the challenges and opportunities that climate, societal and technological change present to the provision of water. It is committed to delivering a reliable supply of very quality water, underpinned by great customer service. I’m proud to be able to play my part in helping to lead Jersey Water forward.”
