New Directors join Visit Jersey's Board

Monday 24 September 2018

A hospitality expert and hotel director are the latest appointments to the Visit Jersey board.

Brand developer Amanda Wilmott and Atlantic Hotel MD Patrick Burke have both been appointed as Directors.

The pair will sit on the board to support Visit Jersey’s mission to promote tourism to and within Jersey, and to deliver its vision of one million visitors  a year by 2030.

Ms Wilmott has helped developed hospitality brands such as All Bar One and Ha!Ha! Bar and Canteen. She previously served as a director on two PLC boards and was a non-executive director of Visit Bath more recently.

Mr Burke co-founded the Luxury Jersey Hotels consortium which he chairs. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and a member of the Master Innholders and has been granted the Freedom of the City of London.

He said: “I consider it a tremendous honour to be invited to serve on the board of Visit Jersey. Visit Jersey has proved itself adept at embracing new ways of marketing the island and I am full of admiration for what has been achieved so far. I have absolutely no doubt that a successful tourism industry is vital to the future prosperity of the island.”

Kevin Keen, Chair of Visit Jersey, added: “We are delighted to welcome Amanda Wilmott and Patrick Burke to the Board of Visit Jersey. They each bring extensive experience of marketing, tourism and as non-executive directors, I have no doubt they will make a significant contribution to the board’s work and the achievement of Visit Jersey's mission."
