New Era joins veterinary group

New Era Veterinary Hospital has become the first Channel Islands practice to join VetPartners, a UK-based group of Veterinary Practices.

The move will not affect the way New Era is run, with all the "familiar faces" staying on, while Partners John Hamilton, Peter Haworth, Ian Cox, Amanda Smith and Nick Thomas will continue to run the Practice.

The team said the move will allow them to continue to provide the same level of service while accessing the resources of a larger business grouping.

"Our patients and clients will, as ever, be our primary consideration and we are completely confident that you won’t notice the difference," Mr Hamilton added.

"As the only Veterinary Hospital in the Channel Islands it is important for us to be able to continually improve our facilities and equipment and having the resources of Vet Partners behind us will greatly facilitate this.

"This agreement will give us the opportunity to invest further in the Practice in the future to expand the services we can offer and to be able to access top quality further education for all our staff."

VetPartners owns 128 small animal, mixed, equine and farm practices in the UK, with 5,369 employees working across more than 450 sites and from its headquarters in York.
