New Group Partner at Appleby

Offshore law firm Appleby has appointed a new Group Partner, who specialises in private equity, M&A, banking, debt finance and real estate finance matters.

Taking on the role is non-practising English Solicitor Iain Millar, who has consistently been ranked by Legal 500 as a rising star for Corporate and Banking and is praised for his "great combination of sound commercial advice and pragmatism."

Prior to joining Appleby, he worked for more than 15 years in private practice in Jersey and London.

"Iain Millar's appointment comes at an exciting time for our growing, and incredibly busy, Corporate Team. His depth and breadth of knowledge and experience further strengthens our Corporate client proposition," Corporate Practice Group Head Andrew Weaver said.
