New Partner appointed at Ogier

Monday 14 October 2019

A lawyer specialised in commercial and trust litigation has joined Ogier as a Partner.

Nic Journeaux, who is also experienced in asset recovery, shareholder disputes as well as insurance-led defence of professionals, has appeared in many complex trust and commercial cases over the past 20 years.

Ogier says he is known for his strategic overview, team leadership and "powerful and persuasive" advocacy, and has been integral to new developments in substantive and procedural law.

"We are very pleased to welcome Nic to Ogier," Rachael Reynolds, Ogier's Global Head of Dispute Resolution, said. "Nic has worked on many of the largest cases in Jersey over the years, representing government bodies, heads of state, banks and trust companies as well as private individuals. He adds further significant weight to our 17-partner global disputes team."

Partner Nick Williams, Head of Dispute Resolution in Jersey, added: "At a time when we are seeing a continuing stream of significant trust cases and other disputes coming before the Jersey courts we are delighted to have an advocate of Nic's calibre and experience at Ogier."
