Deloitte has added to its tax team in Jersey with two appointments.
Kathryn Wintle has been promoted to the role of Director and Harry Lawson has been appointed Senior Manager.
The firm said the appointment and promotion recognise opportunities for growth in the Channel Islands tax practice, including responding to global trends including increased corporate tax responsibility and transparency measures.
In her new role, Ms Wintle - who joined Deloitte in 2003 - will have day-to-day client and market responsibility for the management of the Jersey tax department and its real estate, international tax and reporting, private client services and domestic tax specialist teams.
Mr Lawson will have primary responsibility for private client and wealth management taxation matters within the local tax team. He will work with fiduciary and corporate service providers, advising them on their approach to new and existing tax regulation, in coordination with Deloitte’s UK and broader international tax practices.
Martin Rowley, Tax Partner Deloitte, said: “Deloitte is well placed to service our tax clients, who typically have an international aspect to their business... A major part of our continued success is the recognition that we offer outstanding career development - I am delighted that both Katy and Harry have found this with us.”
