Offshore banking lawyer is new partner at Ogier

Ogier has appointed a leading structured finance specialist to its Banking and Finance team as a partner.

Simon Felton joins the firm after a 20-year career that has seen him work in banking and finance law across Jersey, New York and London.

His specialisms lie within advising major investment banks on capital markets, structured finance and securitisation transactions, with highlights including assisting a global institution with consolidating its global issuance of structured products outside the US and advising upon a significant equity raise by a listed Jersey company.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Felton said that he was, “…very pleased to be joining a team with such a strong reputation in the market.”

His appointment comes following a period of growth at Ogier, with the number of partners having increased by 10% in the last year.
