Ogier employees recognised in 2025 Legal 500 rankings

A total of 70 Ogier employees have been recognised in the 2025 Legal 500 – including 38 people based in the firm's Jersey office.

In Jersey, 10 individuals have been recognised as key lawyers and 28 others were ranked highly across eight core law services.

Those recognised as key lawyers in Jersey are: Jennifer Cox, Nomfundo Skosana and Kamogelo Sono (Banking and Finance), Laura Shirreffs (Commercial Property), James Fox and Gigi McLellan (Corporate and Commercial), Matthew Davies (Dispute Resolution), Tom Hall (Regulatory and White-Collar Crime),  Henry Wickham and Richard Laignel (Private Client Trusts and Tax).

The following Jersey-based colleagues were also ranked highly across the firm's services:

  • Banking and Finance - Katrina Edge and Bruce MacNeil were both named as leading partners,  Kate McCaffrey as a next generation partner
  • Capital Markets - Raulin Amy and Bruce MacNeil were listed as leading partners, and Alexander Curry as a next generation partner
  • Commercial Property - Jonathan Hughes and Katharine Marshall were named leading partners, Sarah Parish as leading associate
  • Corporate and Commercial - Raulin Amy is recognised in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, with leading partner rankings for Simon Dinning, Matthew Shaxson and Richard Daggett. Alexander Curry and Oliver Richardson are named next generation partners and Amy Garrod is recognised as a leading associate. 
  • Dispute Resolution - Nick Williams and Damian Evans were ranked as leading partners, and Oliver Passmore, James Angus and Rebecca McNulty named next generation partners.
  • Regulatory and White-Collar Crime - Team leaders Matthew Shaxson and Nick Williams were listed.
  • Employment - Helen Ruelle makes the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, and Will Austin-Vautier is ranked a leading associate.
  • Investment Funds - Emily Haithwaite named in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, Niamh Lalor is ranked a leading partner, Sophie Reguengo and Matt McManus are named as next generation partners, and Alexandra O'Grady is ranked a leading associate.
  • Private Client, Trusts and Tax - James Campbell is named a leading partner, and Josephine Howe and Katherine Neal named next generation partners.

At Ogier in Guernsey, 27 lawyers have also placed highly across seven of its core services alongside a number of the firm's offshore specialists in London, making a total of 70 Ogier employees recognised in the 2025 Legal 500.

Jersey practice partner Raulin Amy said he was "extremely" proud of his Jersey team.
