Parslows strengthen with new partner appointment

Monday 06 January 2014

Advocate Rebecca Morley-Kirk has been appointed as a new partner at law firm Parslows.

Commenting on the promotion, Founder, Advocate Carl Parslow, said: "I am very pleased to announce our new partnership which sees Rebecca heading up our dispute resolution and litigation department. As a highly accomplished courtroom lawyer, she brings a wealth of experience and a strong record of success in litigation cases."

Advocate Morley-Kirk was admitted as a Jersey Advocate in 2000 and sworn in as a Jersey Crown Advocate in 2007. Formerly a partner at Appleby, she joined Parslows in early 2012, and has been regularly instructed by the Law Society in the disciplinary process. Rebecca is also a qualified mediator.

One of the founding tutors at the Institute of Law, teaching criminal law on the LLB programme, Advocate Morley-Kirk helps train Jersey Advocates in conjunction with Gray's Inn. "It's an honour to be appointed as partner. With three advocates now in the litigation team, Parslows is in an exceptionally strong position to offer cost effective, highly professional legal services in Jersey. Our aim has always been to make ourselves approachable and affordable without compromising our service levels. I'm looking forward to working to developing the dispute resolution and litigation department."

Advocate Parslow concluded: "This is a great start to 2014 and another step forward in Parslows determination to deliver excellent law outcomes for both our personal and commercial clients."
