RBS International appoints new Head of Luxembourg business

A long-standing RBS employee, who started his career as a graduate in Jersey 15 years ago, has been appointed to lead its Depositary Services business in Luxembourg.

Spencer Carne joined the firm in 2005, working his way up through the business before moving into the Luxembourg office as Head of Operations in 2018.

The bank says his new role will be focused on growing the depositary arm in the region, with an increased emphasis on customers, and talent acquisition. 

Mark Crathern, Head of Trustee and Depositary Services, RBS International said: “We are at a critical point with the evolution and growth of our business in Luxembourg and I am delighted to have someone with Spencer’s leadership skills at the helm to deliver our transformational investment programme."
