A major Jersey oil and heating business has changed its management team after being acquired by Roberts Garages.

Petroleum Distributors Jersey (PDJ) will now be headed by Honey Whiteman, who takes on the role of General Manager, in addition to her current role as Finance Director of Roberts Garages.

Trading since 1969, PDJ is predominantly an oil heating business servicing both domestic and commercial customers.

Ms Whiteman said: "I am very much looking forward to managing such a diverse and interesting business as PDJ and aim to continue to not only meet but exceed the needs of all our clients. Knowing I have a very motivated and capable team to support me in taking the business forward, ensures our clients will continue to enjoy the exceptional levels of customer service and the competitive fuel prices that they have come to expect from PDJ."

Joining her in the team is Dave Bradley who was recently promoted to Distribution Manager. He commented: "It is about good team work, the efficient co-ordination of our fuel trucks, and also working hard to maintain the exceptional trust our customers have in our experienced team of drivers that makes PDJ one of the leading fuel suppliers in the Channel Islands. It is this combination which delivers PDJ’s successful approach and maintains the close relationship we enjoy with every one of our customers."

Meanwhile, Mick Jegou, a boiler maintenance manager with 20 years of industry experience, will leading a team of 10 OFTEC qualified engineers to deal with routine servicing to problem boilers.

Finally, Ian Blandin will work behind the scenes as the Forecourt Service Manager.
